That's a big disco ball!
The La Maîtresse de la Tour Eiffel installation by Michel de Broin. The largest mirrorball ever made was suspended by crane for one night at the Jardin du Luxembourg during the Nuit Blanche event in Paris.

HIDDEN , the new album from These New Puritans, Not what you might expect.
I liked Beat Pyramid, It was aggressive, unkempt, edgy and ramshackle, barreling around your eardrums like a ketamine fueled squat party at 5am. Hidden, is a much more nuanced album, tribal and raw in parts, but melancholic and restrained in equal measures.
The sparse use of synths against fractured rolling beats and orchestral arrangements works well. I can hear a lot of Phillip Glass and Steve Reich in there, and that's by no means a bad thing. The more i listen, the more i find. It's not a crowd pleasing record, which makes it all the more refreshing a listen. Great stuff.
(shame about the album artwork)

Took the 7d out for a spin on the market today. Didn't get a lot as it was raining pretty hard, but i'm loving it so far.

An amazing townhouse by CSD Architecten in Antwerp. The footprint of the house is only 50 sqm (4 x 12.5 meters) but they have somehow managed to cram in a basement, ground floor, 4 split-levels and a roof terrace. whilst retaining an amazing sense of space. Simply superb urban architecture.
