"You know that place between sleeping and awake, that place where you can still remember dreaming? That's where I'll always think of you."
— J.M. Barrie
beautiful sunny spring, and a few hours to sit back and draw. Nothing quite like a crisp white page and a sharp pencil. Ever since i was a kid i always had an immediate sense of excitement whenever i made that first mark. bliss.
For all the technology and software in the world, nothing can beat the intimacy of a pencil on paper. There is something so unique about it. The way it evolves and flows, like a visual train of thought, I always get so much more out of peoples sketchbooks than the most polished pieces.
:-)

It's been yet another busy week .
Wednesday takes the prize for " quick drink turns into 10hr bender "
The tranny bar and kareoke being the highlights. as well as the topless dancing.
I remember walking into the bar and thinking.... there's something not quite right..... but i cant seem to ....... ahh. all the ladies are fellas.
It was actually awesome, most of the guys were slightly older, with a few in their 60's ( who coincidentally all looked like judi dench ) it was nice to meet some interesting characters in their own element. would love to shoot some portraits of them.
friday night now, off to the macbeth for golden silvers. nice!

off to relax a bit and have a dance, working weekends is not something i want to get back into the habit of doing, the weeks become a blur and the year vanishes before you know it!
Though in these times i should be grateful to be so busy.
even if i'm feverishly planning how to offload all the hard earned cash as soon as it lands :-)
crazy people are fucking brilliant.whether they are talking to furniture/themselves/ the trees, or having the time of their life in their own little reality,i thank them for
a) being entertaining and b)making the rest of us look that little bit more normal.
especially you, man with breakdance-tourettes, thank you for making me nearly choke on my dolphin friendly tuna baguette today. Without your impromptu display of flailing limbs , my day would have been a lot less complete.

always live like that kid with a big grin and sticky fingers. wide eyed for the the world.
long days and longer nights, the city turns beneath my feet, rolling over unseen in a heartbeat ,from black to white and through again.
I can feel myself getting lost in the rush of it all.
I want space to breathe out for a minute. and let time slow it's pace.
Packing that bag, and getting on that plane.
i cant wait to be out there, without a care in the world :-)
so we went to visions last night, and as usual it was a bit shit.
But there were some interesting characters.
We were outside at the end and there was a team of "street pastors" attempting to save our souls, It was bizarre. Watching them try and preach to people who a) had trouble staying vertical, and b) whose only great quest for truth in the universe involved a donner kebab and remembering where they live.
pastor :"have you taken the lord into your heart?"
drunk girl :" i like your shiny jacket "
that was pretty much the depth of philosophical conversation going on.
brilliant.
Tonight, dead sleb at nuke!
